Governance and communication seminar
The institutional Seminar on Governance and Communication is given every year jointly by the Pittet Group and the Ethos Foundation.
In 2009, this seminar covered the responsability of pension funds in exercising their rights as shareholders, as well as how to communicate with policyholders in a time of crisis.
In 2010, it took a look at the issue of voting on management salaries in pension funds, as well as informing policyholders when the annual report and accounts are published.
The 2011 seminar will examine the growing awareness and interest of stockholders in pension funds as witnessed at recent general assemblies. We will also highlight the need for pension funds to clearly define their business model and positioning.
Three dates are organized in 2011, one in German and two in French:
- Tuesday 29 November, 10.30 a.m. to 12.15 p.m., at Provins, Espace Tourbillon, 22 rue de l'Industrie, in Sion, followed by a cocktail buffet.
- Wednesday 30 November, 10.30 a.m. to 12.15 p.m., at the Kursaal in Bern (Tram 9 towards Guisanplatz, Kursaal stop), followed by a cocktail buffet.
- Thursday 1 December, 10.30 a.m. to 12.15 p.m., at the Hôtel de la Paix, avenue Benjamin-Constant, in Lausanne, followed by a cocktail buffet.
