Pittet Associates continues its development with the recruitment of two senior executives

02.06.2021

Pittet Associates is continuing its development with the recruitment of Dr. Yann Schorderet, an economist and financial strategist, to strengthen the investment advisory team, and Michael Gossmann, an ASA actuary and accredited pension funds expert, who will continue to establish the firm in Zurich.

Founded in 1993, Pittet Associates first made a name for itself in the French-speaking part of Switzerland as a specialized firm of actuaries and occupational pension experts. It then expanded into the German-speaking part of Switzerland and added new areas of expertise to its range of services, including risk management, legal advice and investment consulting for pension funds.

New achievement
This strategic direction is being further enhanced this spring with the recruitment of two new executives: Dr. Yann Schorderet for the investment consulting business and Michael Gossmann for business development in German-speaking Switzerland. Dr. Yann Schorderet, who holds a doctorate in econometrics and statistics from the University of Geneva, is a chartered financial analyst (CFA), a researcher and a confirmed teacher, author of numerous articles and a reference book on market risk management in alternative investments. He also has extensive experience in various banking institutions (Union Bancaire Privée, Banque Cantonale de Genève, Mirabaud Asset Management), where he worked as an analyst, economist and quantitative strategist. He joins the Geneva office of Pittet Associates to put his asset allocation skills at the service of the investment advisory team for pension funds.

Zurich as a business hub
Michael Gossmann is an ETH graduate mathematician, an ASA actuary, an Associate of the Society of Actuaries and an expert in occupational benefits. He gained extensive experience in collective insurance, notably with AXA and Swiss Life, before pursuing a career as a consultant, which led him to spend some 15 years with renowned consulting firms (Expertisa, Libera, Towers Watson and AON). Initially based in Bern, he will be responsible for establishing Pittet Associates in Zurich, the leading hub for pension funds in German-speaking Switzerland, by opening our new office there.
